Elahe Ghazinoori

Elahe Ghazinoori founded EMG Associates, a legal consultancy firm, in 2006 having formerly practised as an in-house solicitor for a telecommunications company. As EMG Associates' principal presenter, she has a wealth of experience in providing inspiring and engaging training sessions in the areas of corporate and commercial law to legal practitioners from the international community. Elahe’s focus is to support the development of individuals and the subsequent growth of the organisation in which they work. She is commercially aware, providing practical business-focused solutions to all her clients.
Elahe has trained hundreds of lawyers and legal professionals around the world on subjects such as company law, commercial law, contract law, drafting skills, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions and arbitration. She has launched the TOLES series of courses successfully in the Middle East, in particular in the UAE, Oman and Bahrain working with some of the top law firms, training institutes and universities in the region.
Before devoting her work fulltime to EMG Associates, Elahe also lectured for BPP Law School, one of UK’s leading law school and professional development institutes. She also worked as a senior training consultant for over 5 years for one of the world’s largest corporations, American Airlines.
Elahe’s broad academic achievements include: B.Sc. Hons II(i) in Mathematics and Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics. Admitted to the roll of solicitors in May 2005.  Elahe also holds the University of Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
She has also written a number of topical articles on a range of corporate issues in the London Chamber of Commerce and the Arab British Chamber of Commerce publications.
 

Peter Pafitis

Peter Pafitis, a Leeds University LL.B graduate and Barrister-at –law of the Middle Temple, has served as legal advisor to various corporate entities in South Africa and Bahrain, subsequent to which, as associate lecturer in law, he has taught company law, contract law, legal system, banking law and criminal law at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus.  During the course of his academic career, he has rendered tutor support for the University of London LL.B and LL.M External Degree programmes on the island,  and has developed and presented a Cyprus variant of the Corporate and Business Law module  for the University of Middlesex BA Hons and Finance degree, at Intercollege. For the period 2002-2005, Peter was designated as visiting lecturer for the law component of the Institute of Financial Services programme at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. As training instructor he has delivered CIB/IFS banking law seminars and ACCA/ ACA  Business and Corporate Law professional courses for GlobalTraining in Cyprus, Athens and Bucharest.  He has also presented a series of workshops in Moscow for the Professional Competence Certification of Investment Firms and Credit Institutions.  As part of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles’ Odysseus network project for the European Commission, Peter was appointed as Co-ordinator and Rapporteur for Cyprus to review and report on the transposition of Immigration Directives.  As Consulting Director, he was a key player in the establishment of the Legal Resources Centre in Cyprus, and is currently Head of Legal Services Development at AG Erotocritou LLC, a leading Cyprus-based law firm. Peter has contributed a chapter on Banking Law for the publication “Key Issues Internationally” and is the author and editor of the recently-published book “Company Law and Law of Partnership in the Republic of Cyprus”, an authoritative and comprehensive resource for students and legal practitioners.

Louise Kulbicki

Louise Kulbicki LLB, LLM is a British legal English teacher and founder of Study Legal English which provides online legal English resources to language learners. Louise gained practical experience working in the legal field on the development of international environmental law before turning to legal English teaching. 

Since 2013 she has been teaching legal English to lawyers and law students from around the world and specialises in online teaching and resources development. She has delivered a range of legal English courses including TOLES training and Contract Drafting. Currently she is a board member of the European Legal English Teachers’ Association (EULETA) in charge of social media, tech and communications and a member of the International Division of the Law Society of England and Wales.

 

Julia Hansen

Julia is an Australian native English speaker. In 2008, she graduated with a Combined Bachelor of Media and Communications and Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University, Sydney. Julia spent seven years working with the Australian Government, primarily with the Australian military, advising in international humanitarian law, criminal law, and government administrative law. During this time, Julia undertook a number of international postings working as a Legal Advisor with other governments, NATO, the United Nations, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Julia was responsible for overseeing the legal training and certification of hundreds of civilian and military personnel working in East Timor, Iraq, and Afghanistan, to ensure Australia's compliance with international law. Julia also spent one year in Afghanistan; working in justice system reform, which involved teaching Afghan judges, prosecutors and police, Afghan criminal law and human rights law. In 2016, Julia moved to the United Arab Emirates, and worked as a commercial lawyer. In 2018, she completed the University of Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), as she realised her interests lay beyond law - she loved interacting and teaching in the cosmopolitan commercial environment of Abu Dhabi. Julia's passion is to empower law students and lawyers to be confident with their English and the common law system, in a relaxed and enjoyable teaching environment.

 

Yiannis Hadjiyiannis

Yiannis, a native English speaker, was born in Muscat in 1992 to Greek Cypriot and Omani parents. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wolverhampton and a Master’s Degree in International Business from Queen Mary University in the United Kingdom. Yiannis has working legal experience in Oman in addition to his international work experiences in the United Kingdom and Thailand. Whilst he specialises in Corporate law, he also handles legal matters in other areas such as Civil and Commercial law through drafting and reviewing contracts, providing legal advice, as well as marketing, and has run educational workshops for legal students through his firm.
Raised in Oman for the majority of his life, he is also well travelled and brings his international skills and experiences to the table in both his legal and educational work which has helped him establish a multicultural mindset allowing him to connect and get along with those of varied origins and cultures. Bridging the gap between generations is important to Yiannis, and he heavily focuses on ensuring that everything is understood in a modern context with future applicability in mind.

Rosalyn Sheehy

Rosalyn is a qualified Solicitor (UK & Ireland) with a wealth of legal experience in magic circle law firms in London, Dublin and the Cayman Islands, dealing in commercial property and private equity funds. Rosalyn is fascinated with the language of law. She is an experienced TOLES trainer and examiner and gives intensive TOLES exam preparation courses online. Rosalyn teaches with a fresh approach, giving insightful comments on all the skills necessary in the mastery of Legal English. 
Rosalyn has a wicked sense of humour and loves instilling confidence in budding lawyers. She coaches public speaking and holds a certificate in International Arbitration from the University of Leiden. Rosalyn delivers popular immersion courses in Dublin in Legal English, Commercial Contract Drafting and International Arbitration for international lawyers from as far as the Lebanon and Brazil.
 

Matthew Hansford

Matthew is an Australian native English speaker with close to 15 years’ experience practising law and conducting conciliations. He has a wealth of experience in commercial disputes, consumer complaints, banking and finance and general corporate and commercial matters. He regularly delivers a range of legal training sessions to major financial players and has a particular interest in up-skilling lawyers to give them confidence in other areas of law and practice. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from Bond University, Australia. He has lived in the GCC for three years.
